Areas I can support you with

People come to therapy for many different reasons. I have particular experience supporting people navigating caregiving responsibilities, serious illness, grief and bereavement, and significant life transitions, as well as a broader range of emotional and relational difficulties.
Some of the areas I often support people with include:
Serious illness, caregiving, and anticipatory grief
Support for those navigating life-limiting or life-changing diagnoses, or changes in caregiving responsibilities. This may include balancing care for others with care for yourself, and working through the difficult thoughts and feelings that can arise during this time.
Grief, loss, and bereavement
When navigating the loss of someone important, grief can bring difficult thoughts and feelings that leave life feeling out of balance or even pointless. Therapy offers space to make sense of your experience, and explore how you want to continue living while recognising how life has changed.
Life transitions and significant changes
Navigating changes such as career shifts or retirement, relationship changes, caregiving responsibilities, menopause, or major life decisions.
Relationship difficulties
Reflecting on patterns in relationships, communication challenges, or experiences that affect how you relate to others.
Anxiety, low mood, trauma, and emotional overwhelm
When worries, difficult thoughts, or past experiences feel hard to manage, or when everyday life begins to feel too much or overwhelming.
Stress, pressure, and burnout
When the demands of work, caregiving, or daily life leave you feeling exhausted, depleted, or struggling to find motivation and balance.
Feeling stuck, lost, or uncertain
When life feels directionless, confusing, or difficult to move forward.
Self-criticism and self-compassion
Working with harsh inner voices and learning to relate to yourself with greater kindness and understanding, developing a more balanced awareness of yourself.
Identity, meaning, and personal growth
Exploring questions about who you are, what matters to you, and how you want to live your life.
You do not need to have everything clearly defined before starting therapy. Sometimes it begins simply with a sense that something in life feels difficult, and a wish to explore it with support.
